The pilot course of learning was typically completed in 12 weeks, consisting of 4 2-day workshops and 2 1-day workshops with 3 weeks of e-learning between classes. You will have 3 years to complete your portfolio of evidence for assessment.
What will your Assessment Involve?
There are two alternative routes through the assessment process:
- using the questions/tasks in the Candidate Pack
- choosing a real, work-based project to illustrate your competencies.
For either option, you will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence.
Option 1:
The portfolio will consist of a fully completed Candidate Pack, self-assessments and tutor comments.
Option 2:
Where possible, this evidence should be formed from work carried out in the workplace/other environment. This may include:
- reports, presentations and/or other documentation that you have written and produced to demonstrate learning and application
- demonstrating how learning has been applied from other work that has been produced (eg applying Active People data relevant to the organisation and describing its impact).
Please be aware that the two methods can be used across the qualification, but not mixed per unit.
