How do you become a CASC?
To register as a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) with HM Revenue & Customs a club needs to be amateur, not-for-profit and open to the whole community.
CASC status gives your club:
The ability to claim Gift Aid (28p on top of every £1 raised in voluntary donations until January 2011, when it reduces to 25p); as well as 80% mandatory rate relief and some corporation tax exemption.
