UK Sport CEO tells top coaches: 'Now is our time'

London 2012 will act as the catalyst in creating sporting success in Britain not just with 2012 Olympic medals but in producing a sporting system with world renown, ensuring Britain's future sporting achievements. That was the message John Steele gave while speaking at the start of UK Sport’s World Class Performance Conference at The Belfry.

“Now is our time: we can build lasting foundations that will secure not only medals at the Games but a high performance system that is truly world leading. But we can only do this if we all work together as a single cohesive unit.”

Now in its ninth year, the event is one of the highpoints in the sporting calendar, attended by Britain's top sports professionals including coaches, performance directors, sports scientists and team managers.
