DCMS launches consultation on free-to-air sports on TV
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has launched a public consultation on the list of sports events of national importance that should be reserved for free-to-air television. The DCMS is specifically seeking feedback on the principle of having a list; the criteria against which events may be listed; and the content of any list itself, including whether any non-sporting events meet the criteria. The consultation will run until 3 July 2009.
